G
eorge's daughter - 8 months pregnant, had been working late on her job and returned home about midnight.  George, as usual had been sitting in the hallway with a gun watching the door.  On this occasion though, when she entered the home, George pointed the gun at her.

She and her boyfriend discussed the danger posed by George.  There was the drug use and the many visitors at all hours, the squalor that surrounded them and the likelihood of great harm to either of them which led to their conclusion that George could no longer be tolerated in the household.  They phoned the police.

Over the years numerous people heard George’s declaration that “the police will never take me alive.”  Yes, that is an actual quote and a fine example of George’s bluster.

Law enforcement was well prepared to take George into custody.  One officer broke George’s bedroom window as a distraction while another came through the back door.

This is the story of George Mauger and since it is an accurate accounting this scene will prove as disappointing as the man himself.  There was no shoot out, no car chase, not even a fist fight.

George was in the hallway dressed only in a tee shirt.  The sound of breaking glass startled him and the sight of the officers rushing toward him frightened him, so much so that he lost control of his bowels.

There in the hallway with officers taking hold of him snapping handcuffs onto his wrists, George shat himself and we can only imagine that the excitement of the moment did nothing but worsen the pain in his "right tactical."

Note to George:  Oh, George!  Where was your fighting spirit?  Where was your determination to live your life freely, unencumbered by laws that didn’t suit you?  Where were your special skills honed in the Navy or the jungles of Vietnam?

Oh, that’s right, you have no special skills, you were a clerk.  Oh, if only something needed filing, you would have shown them!

You have no real determination in life or fighting spirit – just bravado.  No mettle, not you.  You rang the bell early in life.  You snagged a few uniforms along the way for credibility and cover but when your moment arrived all you could do was shit yourself.

We realize that you lack the ability to feel remorse for all you've done in life but you do feel humiliation, don't you George?

It's not my fault, I've been framed. It's all a set up.

A police dog was used to search George's rental home.  What you see below is not the result of a police search.  This was the condition of George's home at the time of his arrest.  George was evicted shortly after his incarceration.  His daughter and her boyfriend remained in residence and cleaned up the house and property at their own expense.

Although George pleaded with his daughter for months to abort her pregnancy, she was determined to have the child.  Shortly after George's arrest his daughter went into labor.  She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  The child was slightly premature but she is now thriving.  George's daughter secured a restraining order against him so he could not return to the household.  His daughter said she no longer feels the least bit sorry for him.

George's son is enjoying his career. While trying to establish himself and his credit history, his identity was stolen.  Records lead to George as the culprit.  His son decided not to press charges.  He refuses to speak with or see his father.

George's wife remarried and is living happily in another state.  She continues to receive $5.00 per month in child support payments arranged by the State of Pennsylvania.  The balance of child support owed by George is over $17,000. At this rate, in roughly 290 years George will have repaid this debt.

George's best friend continues to receive credit card offers in George's name at her address.  (You will understand the connection better after you read the Lost & Found chapter)

And George, well, without cigarettes and cocaine he achieved 230 pounds.  We imagine the "cancer" must be in remission.  He was incarcerated at the Montgomery County Prison in Norristown, PA.  Presently, his only source of income is his monthly VA disability/pension check which he hoped to one day use for his bail.

Having done irreparable damage to important relationships in his life, George was reduced to phoning a female drug dealer promising to "wine and dine" her when he was released from prison.  The woman was not impressed, and after receiving numerous calls from George wondered how she acquired a "stalker."

George is unwelcome at his siblings' homes.  They also forbid George to visit their mother.  While in prison George devised a plan.  He befriended someone who was soon to be released.  He expected this individual to visit his mother and obtain his MAC card.  The individual would then withdraw funds from George's account and use it to pay George's bail.  Spot any problems with that plan?  George did not, and for understandable reasons his family disapproved.  George then phoned his mother relentlessly during her recovery from surgery.  George's mother changed her phone number and the new number was entrusted only to her other children.  She's said that she "lost count" of the dollars she has loaned to George and that George has twice threatened to kill her.
